Seth Trimble spent four seasons at North Carolina before a court ruling opened the door to a fifth year with a rival. The guard from Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, played 126 games for the Tar Heels from 2022-26, scoring 971 points and developing into a two-way starter who averaged 14.0 points on 47.1% shooting as a senior. His 2025-26 season produced two signature moments: a career-high 30 points in a 77-74 win over No. 24 Louisville, and a three-pointer with 0.4 seconds left to beat No. 4 Duke 71-68 on February 7, the latest game-winning shot UNC has ever hit against its rival. After going undrafted, Trimble signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Washington Wizards and played in the Las Vegas Summer League. A July 31 federal injunction granted Class-of-2022 athletes an additional year of eligibility, and on August 12, 2026, Trimble committed to Louisville for 2026-27. In late August the eligibility ruling went against him, he is currently ruled ineligible for the season, but he remains on the roster while the case plays out, and the program expects him to be cleared.
2025-26: 14 PPG · 50.8 eFG%.
